Etimologija: sub (lat.) = skoro + pallidus (lat.) = blijedo. Po svijetloj boji.

Plodno tijelo: 0.5-1.6(3) mm široko, može sličiti tanjuriću, zvrku ili je ravno kao disk, na osnovi nema stalak, nego raste izravno na supstratu; unutarnja je himenijalna površina glatka, bjelkasta, blijedožuta i oker-žuta, kasnije bjelkasta, vanjska strana može biti krastavo-perutava te ima istu boju kao unutarnja strana, rub je manje-više svjetliji.
Spore: Vretenaste do eliptične, glatke, prozirne, s dvije uljne kaplje, 5-9.2 x 2.5-3 µm; otrusina je bijela.
Meso: Gotovo nepostojeće, svijetložućkasto, prozirno, mekano, voštano; miris i okus nisu izraženi.
Stanište: Raste od listopada do svibnja, u miješanim, bjelogoričnim i aluvijalnim šumama kao saprofit krupnih drvnih ostataka različitog bjelogoričnog drveća bez kore, osobito je česta na raskoljenim površinama bukve, lijeske i jasena.

Status jestivosti: NEJESTIVA - Nema vrijednosti.
Napomena: Opisana mješinarka raste u zbijenim hrpama i moguća je zamjena s nizom sličnih limunastožutih vrsta. Sigurna je determinacija samo uz preciznu uporabu mikroskopa. Njezine su spore vrlo sitne i po tome se lako razlikuje od sličnih mješinarki.
